- 01Keep group conversations in English. In one-to-one chats, use whichever language you both prefer.
- 02Be kind. No harassment, discrimination, or putting people down.
- 03Respect a no. Ask before sharing someone’s photos, story, or contact details.
- 04Come to meet people. Leave sales pitches and unsolicited promotion at home.
- 05Keep online sessions comfortable. Cameras are optional. Ask everyone before recording or taking screenshots.
- 06Can’t make it? Cancel your spot so someone else can come.
WHY INDISIt started with
It started with
feeling left out.
At a Nairobi mixer, the conversation started in English. By the middle of the evening, it had moved into Swahili, with jokes our founder couldn’t follow.
That evening became the reason for InDis: a place where someone notices when you’re outside the conversation and helps you join it.
Whether Nairobi is home or you’ve just arrived, we want you to leave having met someone you’d like to see again.
